You knew it was coming. A few weeks back, the Harvard baseball team put out a video showcasing them doing a terrible cover of Carly Rae Jepsen’s, “Call Me Maybe” song. It became a viral sensation almost instantly and, currently, has over 7.5 million views. Then, in an effort to piggyback off the boys’ success, the women’s SMU rowing team tried their hand at a “Call Me Maybe” cover, to much less acclaim. Their video currently has 100,000 views.
Now someone else is trying their hand at one-upping the Harvard baseball dudes. Meet Zach Murray – an “average student” from North Andover who’s looking to start his own viral craze. His attempt is a little different, though. Instead of just doing Jepsen’s “Call Me Maybe” song, he improvised and turned it into “Call Me Brady.” As of this second, it has over 40,000 views.

So again, the original “Call Me Maybe” video that everyone is trying to emulate has 7.5 million views. Meanwhile, President Barack Obama’s 2008 Inauguration video has less than 5 million. The internet is fantastic.
