The Los Angeles Lakers lost their eighth and final preseason game of 2012 on Thursday night.
Facing the Sacramento Kings for the third time in seven days, L.A. once again found itself incapable of holding on to the ball. If you take only one number away from this otherwise pointless outing, let it be this one: 21. That’s how many turnovers the Lakers recorded.
You can fix a lot of things between the preseason and regular season, but teams don’t magically learn how to not give the ball away in a span of days. It takes time. It takes chemistry. And with the Lakers' starting five playing in only one game together over this entire preseason run, the chemistry thing may become a bigger issue down the road
