Recently, we’ve looked at the best playoff series and overall playoff performances based on a version of Expected Value that includes only the box score, and is adjusted for opponent strength (Adjusted BEV). Naturally, that has some people wondering what the best individual games look like by this metric.
Again, as we discussed in the previous posts, the best way to think of this stat is “if we take away a few things on offense — creation, spacing, helped offense — and ignore most of the defense, who played the best?”
