Nastia Liukin's 2012 Olympic Bid Ended with a Thud (Video)
Sometimes you go out on top, and sometimes you don’t. This past Sunday, Nastia Liukin went out in the worst way imaginable – with a very, very painful faceplant.
Liukin, a U.S. Olympic gymnast who finished as the individual all-around gold medalist back in 2008, wound up wrapping up her career with a 10th place finish at this weekend’s Olympic trials.
What were her highs and lows of the weekend? Well...
While Liukin's performance on the uneven bars wasn’t particularly impressive (it earned a 13.950), it was at the very least memorable. (Does that count as a high?).

According to USA Today, Liukin plans to attend NYU in January.
