The UFC will be returning to Los Angeles on August 4 for UFC on FOX 4, according to an announcement made Tuesday night on UFC Tonight. The event does not have a host site yet, though the Staples Center would be the most likely venue.
No fights were announced, as the UFC continues to work on UFC on FOX 3, which will feature a main event of Nate Diaz and Jim Miller. The fight will likely determine the next lightweight challenger, so UFC on FOX 4 could receive a No. 1 contender match, or even a championship match.
The last time the UFC visited L.A., Lyoto Machida defended his UFC light heavyweight title against Mauricio "Shogun" Rua in a very controversial decision. An immediate rematch was granted to Rua, which he won.
