Chael Sonnen may be surprisingly taking a more respectful, less trash talk cluttered path to his impending battle with Michael Bisping, but that certainly doesn't mean that The Count is going to keep his gloves on.
The brash Englishman recently appeared on HDNet's Inside MMA to promote the bout, poking fun at Sonnen for claiming that hypogonadism (a condition wherein the body produces fewer -- or none at all -- hormones than usual from the sex glands) necessitates his undergoing Testosterone Replacement Therapy, which resulted in Sonnen registering elevated levels of testosterone following his title fight loss to Anderson Silva in 2010.
"Let's start with the obvious. One: he's not the middleweight champion. He's been beaten many, many times. He's been submitted more times than I care to mention. Not to mention the fact that the last time he lost a fight, by submission, there was some issue involving performance enhancing drugs," Bisping said. "Now, I don't know what the deal is. Apparently, he has one testicle. One testicle. This is why he uses performance enhancing drugs. I'm sorry, that's not enough balls to fight me next week."
Bisping and Sonnen will meet this Saturday night in the co-main event of UFC on Fox 2: Evans vs. Davis, which goes down at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois.
