MMA Analysis: Can Diego Sanchez Do Some Damage vs. Jake Ellenberger?

UFC veteran Diego Sanchez will be making his sixteenth appearance in the Octagon next month, headlining the promotion's first show on FUEL TV opposite surging welterweight Jake Ellenberger.

Having rebounded from a two-fight losing streak by defeating Paulo Thiago and Martin Kampmann by decision, the 30-year-old, Ultimate Fighter season one winner will be looking to keep his momentum alive against Ellenberger in order to prove himself worthy for title contention.

Set to take on Ellenberger, who is riding an impressive five-fight winning streak, in his backyard in Omaha, Nebraska, Sanchez is looking forward to feeling the buzz in the air on fight night and putting on one of his best performances yet in the cage.

"I am expecting an electric atmosphere for my fight against Jake Ellenberger on the UFC on FUEL TV card," Sanchez said. "Not only is Omaha in the heart of some of the best wrestling in the U.S., but it is also Ellenberger's home. I have never been more ready for a fight in my career. Fans are going to see a focused and well-rounded Diego Sanchez stepping into the Octagon. I promise they will like what they see."

Sanchez and Ellenberger will do battle on February 15 at the Omaha Civic Auditorium in Omaha, Nebraska in the main event of UFC on FUEL TV 1.
