Miesha Tate Talks Dana White, Ronda Rousey, UFC and More

Miesha Tate (13-3) thinks her words got twisted when she announced earlier in the year that she was taking time off and believes that was why she didn't get the first UFC title shot. After the UFC made it clear that they were brining females inside the Octagon, Tate quickly changed her mind on what she saw as a golden opportunity.

"[White] said it wasn't exactly what was said and sometimes he has a poor choice of words," said Tate on The MMA Hour. "I think he realized he pissed me off a little bit. You don't want a scorned woman running around."

Tate wouldn't confirm if she had signed a UFC contract and her current status is unknown. Liz Carmouche (7-2) was selected to be the first to challenge Ronda Rousey (6-0) for the bantamweight title.

Rousey vs. Carmouche headlines UFC 157 on February 26 out of the Honda Center from Anaheim, CA.
