Is Megumi Fujii Planning to Retire?
A source to MMA Fighting is reporting that Megumi Fujii (25-2), who many consider one the top female MMA fighters, is contemplating retirement.
Fujii spent a majority of her eight year career fighting in Japan. Before her first loss, she racked up 22 wins in six years. In 2010, Fujii joined Bellator where she first tasted defeated and lost the inaugural 155 pound women's championship. She would loss again for Bellator this past May in what has been her last fight to date.
The source said if Fujii is going to fight one more time, it will be at DREAM's New Year's Eve show. Three names have been announced for the December 31 show from Japan, but Fujii wasn't one of them.
