The Red Sox are very, very bad right now. With a 62-67 record on the year and a very firm hold over fourth place in the AL East, Boston hasn’t given fans much to be enthusiastic about this season. Heck, the biggest headline this squad has produced thus far -- not pertaining to a mutiny against the head coach -- has been them being on the right end of the biggest salary dump in sports history. That’s their biggest accomplishment 129 games in.
If that isn’t indicative to how sad things are at Fenway these days, I don’t know what is.
And yet, even in the face of all that’s wrong with the Red Sox, Boston fans continue to love their team. How much do they love their team? This video spells it out pretty clearly:
