With Ray Allen's departure and Avery Bradley not coming back until probably December, the Celtics decided to shore up their guard position by getting Jason Terry and Courtney Lee.
Oh, and add Leandro Barbosa to the list. According to ace reporter from Yahoo, Adrian Wojnarowski, Barbosa agreed to a one-year deal with Boston.
I'm going to guess he gets to back Rajon Rondo up on the 1 but Barbosa is a scorer by nature. He spent seven years in Phoenix as a sometime back-up to Steve Nash. He won Sixth Man Of The Year when he averaged a career-high 18.1 points per game in 2006-07. Last year, he got traded to Indiana midway through the season after spending 1 1/2 years with the Toronto Raptors. He averaged 11.1 points per game overall and shot 38 percent from three.
Barbosa is turning 30 in November 28 so he's still got plenty of gas left. Now the Celtics have TWO former Sixth Man Of The Year award-winners in Terry and Barbosa.
I suppose Boston believes you can't get enough threats from the perimeter.
