Knicks Lose Amar'e Stoudemire for 2-3 Weeks
Amar'e Stoudemire is hurt again. This time, it's a ruptured popliteal cyst that's stopping him for the next 2-3 weeks. Basically, it's really an injured knee. He's had a bruised left knee and an MRI revealed that very injury.
Hopefully, Amar'e recovers sooner than later. He had a huge dropoff last year as his numbers went from 25.3 points in 2010-11 to 17.5 last season. And if you watched Knick games last season, he has trouble getting off the floor. It seems like half of his shots were blocked last season and it was sad to watch.
Maybe Mike Woodson will try to put Carmelo Anthony at the power forward slot. Melo has mentioned he preferred NOT to play at the 4. Melo played at his best last season as a power forward as he is able to defend those slower players better and is good at playing bullyball as anybody.
Let's hope Amar'e recovers quickly and plays better than last season.
