Josh Koscheck Says UFC Asked Him to Stir Up BJ Penn Talks
Josh Koscheck was a guest on MMA Uncensored Live recently, and "Kos" informed the hosts that the UFC asked him to stir up some talk about a possible match up with BJ Penn. "The Prodigy" turned down Koscheck after the fight announcement was rumored.
"Me and BJ have a good relationship. It's business, and, you know what? I like to have big fights," said Koscheck (thanks to MMAMania.com for transcribing). "I think that BJ is the type of fighter that would be a big fight for me. The UFC asked to try and stir up something. You know, I do my job well, and I went on to my Twitter account, and just kinda said, 'Hey, BJ, let's do this fight.'"
Penn retired last year, but has been talking about a potential return if the fight is right. Koscheck lost to Johny Hendricks earlier this year after a win over Mike Pierce.
