Jordan Mein vs. Forrest Petz Set for November 23
Strikeforce doesn't plan on putting another show together until the calendar reads 2013. That has forced several fighters to ponder what they will do until than to make money.
Jordan Mein has taken that next step, as Strikeforce has agreed to let him compete November 23 at the Score Fighting Series event in Ontario, Canada.
Mein (25-8) will take on UFC veteran Forrest Petz (25-9) in the main event. Mein is 7-1 in his last eight fights, as the Canadian's lone defeat came at the hands of Tyron Woodley earlier this year. Woodley went on to compete for the Strikeforce welterweight title.
"Jordan Mein is part of the next generation fighters we're looking to showcase," said Score Fighting Series promoter Brendan Fyfe. "He is entertaining, well-rounded and always looks for the toughest opponents."
Petz is a perfect 4-0 since leaving the UFC.
