Jon Fitch Offers an Interesting Take on Georges St-Pierre

Jon Fitch (24-4-1-1 NC) thinks when Georges St-Pierre (22-2) makes his official return from surgery he won't be the same fighter he was before. St-Pierre has been out for 18 months with an ACL injury to his knee that required surgery.

"Everything will depend on how the knee is and how Georges has adapted to that knee," said Fitch to TATAME. "Whenever you have a serious injury like this, your body changes. Things change a bit, so it depends on how well it fits."

St-Pierre makes his return at UFC 154 on November 17 when he takes on Carlos Condit (28-5). The two will unify their titles in the main event. Condit won the interim title earlier this year and waited for St-Pierre's return.

Despite the time away due to injury, Fitch has St-Pierre's wrestling ability as his answer to walking out of the Octagon still champion.

Fitch fought St-Pierre once for the welterweight championship at UFC 87, where the champion outwrestled the challenger for the decision victory.

"I think we have one of those fights where GSP is giving fall behind fall and doing a good job in winning and ground and pound in the decision," said Fitch.
