Jeremy Stephens Wants to Do Some Damage to Donald Cerrone

Publish date:

In Jeremy Stephens' opinion, Donald Cerrone is breakable.

The UFC lightweight believes he saw it in his soon-to-be opponent's eyes when he fought Nate Diaz at UFC 141 this past December. Diaz was able to walk through Cerrone's formidable attack to put a hurting on him, dotting him up repeatedly with punches that looked to Stephens like they stole the Cowboy's will.

In speaking with USA Today recently, Stephens revealed his plans to attempt to do the same.

"Cowboy's a guy who likes to pressure guys, likes to bully them. When he has that momentum, he's very dangerous. When I come forward, we're definitely going to collide," said Stephens. "It's going to be who's coming forward and who has the lack of respect for each other's power. I can tell you right now, I don't really care for his kicks. I couldn't care less about his kicks. I couldn't care less about his punching power. And I'm going to break him."

Cerrone and Stephens meet this Tuesday, May 15, at UFC on Fuel TV: Korean Zombie vs. Poirier from the Patriot Center in Fairfax, Virginia.
