Jared Downing Becomes Resurrection Fighting Alliance's First Featherweight Champ


Resurrection Fighting Alliance (RFA) crowned their first featherweight champion with Jared Downing (9-1) taking possession of the title. He defeated Jordan Rinaldi (6-1) via decision in the main event of RFA 5.

Rinaldi looked for several submission wins during the opening moments of the fight, but none were enough to lead to the victory.

The loss for Rinaldi was his first and also marked his second outing for RFA. Downing was making his third appearance for the promotion. He has won all his RFA fights via decision.

RFA 5 took place yesterday, November 30, from the Viaero Event Center in Nebraska. The main card aired on AXS TV.
