Indianapolis Colts Will Select Andrew Luck No. 1 Overall in 2012 NFL Draft

Publish date:

After much research, the Indianapolis Colts have decided that they will draft Andrew Luck as the No. 1 pick. With that, the Washington Redskins will draft Robert Griffin III with the second overall pick.

The Colts have been rumored to be selecting Luck, as he plays a lot like Peyton Manning and fits better into the team’s system.

The Colts have decided on their pick yesterday but wouldn’t tell anybody. But now, with the latest news breaking, they have informed Luck that he is their guy.

“We’ve known for a little while. We’ve done all our due diligence,” GM Ryan Grigson said yesterday. “Unless there’s an unforeseen problem or something like that, we know what we’re doing.”

It doesn’t really come a surprise that they will go with Luck, as he was the man all along since they received the No. 1 pick.

We’ll see how things go for him next season in Indy.
