Hector Lombard Calls Out Michael Bisping

Former Bellator middleweight champion Hector Lombard picked up his first UFC victory Friday night, finishing Rousimar Palhares at UFC On FX: Sotiropoulos vs. Pearson in Australia. The win marked a homecoming of sorts for Lombard, who returned to Australia to train for the fight.

After showing off his striking skills, Lombard (32-3-1) called for a match with Michael Bisping. Currently, Bisping is set to face Vitor Belfort in January from Brazil.

"I would love to fight Michael Bisping," Lombard said. "He's said a lot of things about me lately and I want to settle it in the Octagon."

Lombard was defeated in his UFC debut by Tim Boetsch, but he made sure this fight would not go to the scorecards this time. The former Olympian jumped on Palhares and never relented, forcing the ref to step in at the 3:38 mark of round one.

"A KO was what I wanted and I got it," Lombard said. "Palhares was very strong out there. I have much respect for him."

The loss was the second straight first round finish defeat by Palhares (14-5), who is now 7-4 in his UFC career. He was also stopped by Alan Belcher earlier this year.
