Hector Lombard is Already Calling Out Anderson Silva

Former Bellator middleweight champion Hector Lombard didn't just sign with the UFC to say he signed with the UFC. No, Lombard is seeking to test his skills against the best in the world, including current UFC middleweight champ Anderson Silva.

Lombard signed his official contract with the UFC on Friday, and made his intentions known. The former Olympian is on a 25-fight win streak and has amassed a record of 32-2-1 in his career.

"I've wanted to fight in the UFC all my career," said Lombard, in a recent interview with MMAWeekly.com. "I want to be the UFC middleweight champion and I want to fight Anderson Silva to do it. I have such respect for him as a fighter, it would be an honor and a dream come true to test my skills against his. I wouldn't be in the UFC if I didn't think I could win the UFC world title."

Lombard previously signed with the UFC in 2007, but visa issues kept him from ever making his debut. Instead, he joined up with Bellator and has dominated the division. No word on when = or against who = Lombard will make his UFC debut.
