We’re currently in the middle of our third professional sports lockout in two years. And like the NBA lockout, the NHL lockout has finally resulted in lost regular season games.
Games are canceled through at least October 24. And this marks the third NHL work stoppage in NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman’s career.
Instead of talking about Boston at Philadelphia and Vancouver at Calgary, hockey fans are talking about hockey-related revenue and salary caps. Awesome!
So, sports fans, at what point will you care that there’s no hockey? When the Winter Classic is canceled? Early Spring? Ever?
