Greg Jackson Talks About Potential Pitfalls for UFC Fighters

One of the UFC's biggest problems this year may have been the number of injuries that occurred, but Greg Jackson thinks that something else is the biggest problem for a fighter in the sport.

"I think the biggest problem for any fighter is not the fight itself, but what happens outside the cage," said Jackson to TATAME. "For example, when they are involved in a wrong relationship, or drugs, or fail to train, to engage. These are the biggest problems I've seen."

In 2012, current champions Jon Jones (17-1) and José Aldo (21-1) made headlines for their activities outside of fighting. Jones was charged with a DUI in May after crashing his car, while Aldo was injured in a motorcycle accident this past September, a month before he was slated to defend his title against Frankie Edgar.

Jackson went on to say that the fighters need to move past these errors and refocus their careers.
