Georges St-Pierre Thinks Dan Hardy is Underrated
A loss to UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre sent Dan Hardy on a spiral that nearly caused his exit from the UFC. However, due to his willingness to stand and bang, "The Outlaw" was given another chance.
Now, fresh off a knockout victory over Duane Ludwig, Hardy seems pointed in the right direction. He will meet Amir Sadollah in his native country of England later this year, and GSP believes he is a future champion in MMA.
"Dan can come back and be a champion in the future. He has been underrated by a lot of guys," said St-Pierre, in a recent interview with ESPN. "He's better than what his last few fights have shown. Maybe he lost confidence, but he came back very strong in his last fight. I know how dangerous Dan is because I've fought him and I've trained with him and he is very, very good."
St-Pierre is currently working his way back from a torn ACL. He is expected to return to fighting later this year in a bout to unify the welterweight titles with Carlos Condit.
