With the Fantasy NBA Playoffs starting next week, here are some players that you can add via free agency that could help you secure a championships.
PG George Hill SA 13.4 PTS 3.3 AST 3.3 REB 1.7 3PM
Although Tony Parker is finally back from injuries, his time on the court is still limited and with the Spurs possessing a five game lead in the West this trend should continue. The Spurs have no need to exasperate Parker’s calf injury and should continue to give Hill the majority of the minutes at point guard. This should allow his assist totals to continue to rise and he will also give you a solid amount of 3 pointers.
PG Like Ridnour MIN 13.5 PTS 4.6 AST 2.5 REB 1.3 STL 0.9 3PM 30.6 Minutes
Ridnour has taken over in Minnesota as the starting point guard and is once again showing that he has the skills to be an adequate point guard. Throughout his career, Ridnour has been ordinary, constantly giving teams around 15 points and five assists. Nothing too great, but still solid for those looking to add some depth at the point guard position. With Minnesota seemingly giving up on providing Johnny Flynn with any meaningful minutes, Ridnour should be guaranteed to produce the remainder of the season.
SG/SF Francisco Garcia SAC 9.6 PTS 2.5 REB 1.1 AST 1.4 3PM 0.9 BLK
A name obviously familiar to you and me, Garcia is set up to shine in Sacramento. With Tyrke Evans still having trouble coming back from injury, the former Louisville Cardinal has time to once again showcase his talent. Since coming back from injury he has managed to put up double digit points, while also throwing in some good rebound and assist totals. If Garcia continues stroking it from behind the arc, he could once again find his way back into the starting lineup. This could give you a player that could bring a big boost to your points total.
PF Josh McRoberts IND 9.0 PTS 5.3 REB 2.2 AST 1.1 STL 25 MIN
If you are looking to pick up a couple of steals, assists, and rebounds out of the power forward position than Josh McRoberts is your man. His minutes have continued to rise and now he is up to nearly 30 ticks a game. This has allowed him to show off his soft hands, in pick pocketing other bigs and dishing out assists. He also has shown flashes of being a force on the boards and in the paint, raising both his rebounds and block totals. He has yet to reach any conistency point-wise, but in his last 2 games has managed to reach double digits. If you don’t pick him up now, make a note about him next year. He should develop into a nice sleeper.
PF Kris Humphries NJ 9.4 PTS 9.6 REB 1.1 AST 1.0 BLK
Humphries should have been on our radar the entire season as a capable big. Unfortunately, or fortunately for Humphries, he is more known for his escapades off the court with Kim Kardashian than his production on the court. But, he is putting up a double-double nearly every night. Ever since Deron Williams was traded to the Nets, he has gone off. In his last two games alone he has managed to grab 17 rebounds and over 18 points. If he manages to regress a little bit, he should still be a force so pick him up.
C Samuel Dalembert SAC 11.9 PTS 9.7 REB 1.0 BLK .493% .750%
With Dalembert getting around 25 minutes a game, he is again producing solid numbers at the center position. Whenever he has been given minutes this season he has been able to get you double digit points, rebounds, and at least a block a game. The only real problem with keeping Dalembert is his knack of getting injured. But if you are really desperate for a center, you could not find one much better then Dalembert.
