Donald Trump on Derek Jeter’s Injury: “Karma”

Donald Trump is a horrible guy, so it really shouldn’t surprise anyone when he says horrible things. Mind you, this is a man who (nearly four years later) maintains that the President of the United States obtained that position by illegal means because he isn’t an American citizen.

Again, he is a horrible guy. But just in case anyone forgot how bad he and the nonsense that he spews is, Trump made sure to send out a reminder to his 1.6 million Twitter followers on Monday.

Following Derek Jeter’s heartbreaking injury that put him out of commission for the duration of this postseason, Trump sent out these tweets:

Derek Jeter had a great career until 3 days ago when he sold his apartment at Trump World Tower- I told him not to sell- karma?

— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) October 15, 2012

A-Rod was a great player when he lived at Trump Park Avenue--- even though he was on the juice!

Got that, folks? Jeter deserved his broken ankle. That’s the price you pay when you sell one of Trump’s lame apartments.

After getting a ton of backlash, Trump predictably tried to backpedal.

Lots of response on Derek--but I told him his apartment was lucky! -- We love Derek.

Of course Trump loves Derek. His heartwarming words of comfort post-injury were clearly indicative of that.
