Donald Cerrone Sort of Takes a Shot at Jon Jones

Donald Cerrone (19-4-1 NC) and Jon Jones (17-1) are teammates out of Greg Jackson's Gym, but they don't agree about what led to the cancellation of UFC 151.

"I'd have fought," said Cerrone prior to UFC 155. "They could call me tomorrow and ask me to fight. I think you need to fight. That's our job. I don't think you should curl up and find a way out."

Jones and Jackson were blamed by UFC president Dana White for the card being scratched. Jones' original opponent, Dan Henderson (29-8), was hurt and the light heavyweight champion wouldn't take a different fight with Chael Sonnen on short notice.

Cerrone said he and Jones have discussed the incident. Jones noted that Cerrone doesn't make nearly what he does and that played a reason for him refusing to take another fight.

"[Jones] goes, 'Well, you don't make a million [dollars] to fight' and I said, 'Well, you're right, but I f------ fight every time with all my heart,'" said Cerrone.

Jones returns in April to defend his title against Chael Sonnen (27-12-2) in a venue to be announced. Cerrone meets the returning Anthony Pettis (15-2) at UFC on FOX 6 from the United Center in Chicago, IL on January 26.
