Diego Sanchez Wants to Fight Takanori Gomi in March
Diego Sanchez continues to use Twitter to make his intentions known. After calling out Nick Diaz for his remarks, Sanchez said a potential fight with Takanori Gomi could be in the works.
"Might have a fight lined up for march 2nd," Sanchez posted. "Just waiting on the man Joe Silva to see if Mr. Fireball kid takes it?"
Gomi, also known as "The Fireball Kid" and Sanchez would collide at UFC on Fuel TV 8 from Japan. The fight would air March 2 in the U.S. and March 3 in Japan.
Sanchez (23-5) is rehabbing from shoulder surgery, and has gone 12-5 inside the Octagon. Gomi (34-8) evened his UFC mark at 3-3 after Mac Danzig.
