Details About Alistair Overeem's Doctor Emerge

At his hearing yesterday before the Nevada State Athletic Commission, Alistair Overeem sat next to Dr. Hector Molina, who administered to him the medication which was ultimately responsible for the fighter's drastically elevated testosterone-to-epitestosterone ratio.

As Molina fell apart under the NSAC's questioning, many watching the proceedings began to wonder exactly who he was beyond a Texas ringside physician, which is how Overeem claims to have met him. A quick Google search on the not-so-good doctor yields a number of startling results.

In 2011, Molina was accused of botching the plastic surgery of a 28-year-old woman, leading to complications which saw her rushed to the emergency room.

n 2010, Molina was arrested in Colleyville, Texas for assault that caused bodily injury and "family violence."

He's accused in this Ripoff Report of being arrested in 1998 for felony theft of over $1,500. The report includes what looks to be Dr. Molina's second documented mugshot.

He was also fined $25,000 and explicitly monitored for three years in 2004 for prescribing high-strength narcotics over the internet without first getting to know his patients or investigating their prescriptions. Molina prescribed illegally prescribed the drugs "morphine, codeine, methadone, oxydone (Percodan), hydrocodone (Vicodin) andanabolic steroids."

Stand up guy, it sounds like.
