Dana White Wasn't Happy with Forrest Griffin After UFC 148

Publish date:

Dana White was forced to go after Forrest Griffin following his co-main event fight with Tito Ortiz and UFC 148: Silva vs. Sonnen II this past Saturday. That's because Griffin darted out of the Octagon before the decision was even announced.

Well, as you could expect, the UFC president wasn't too pleased with what happened. And, to make matters worse, when Griffin decided to conduct the post-fight interview instead of Joe Rogan, that wasn't the best of ideas either.

"I met him back in the hall and I said, 'What are you doing? What's wrong with you? Are you mental?' And he said, 'I was really depressed,'" White said. "I said, 'The next time you're depressed about winning a fight, go in the back and be depressed.' It's Tito's last night, stand there, get your hand raised or Tito's hand raised, do your interview."

White added that Rogan's job isn't up for the taking and that Griffin needs to "leave the microphone alone until Joe comes over to talk to you."

Griffin earned his second decision victory over Ortiz, who competed for the final time inside the Octagon.
