Dana White Regarding UFC on FOX 4: "It was a Great Night"

Dana White was all smiles after the UFC on FOX 4 card.

"It was a great night," said White. "Every fight was great and everyone delivered. I always want the best showing we can possibly have. I know how talented these athletes are and what they're capable of doing."

At the conclusion of the show, White announced that Lyoto Machida (18-3) had earned a light heavyweight championship shot against the winner of Jon Jones vs. Dan Henderson.

"[Machida was] most impressive not just in the knockout, but it seems he wants it more right now then Shogun does," said White. "Shogun's not given me the vibe that he's ready for a title shot. Machida flat-out told me he wants this fight again. Shogun isn't overwhelming me with demands to fight for the title."

Even though Jones defeated Machida in their first fight, White believes in the rematch.

"I think Machida has the abilities to a lot of things," said White.

"What's surprising for me is that [Ryan Bader] never shot once," said White. "He kept running at him with punches. It's the second round of a three round fight that [has] everything on the line. You got to make a move at some point."

White was impressed by Brandon Vera's (12-6-1 No Contest) fortitude. He shared comments Vera made to him days before the fight.

"Vera told me he was going to stick it Saturday night," said White. "You can't put a number on heart or determination and he showed that."

According to White, Mike Swick (15-4) exhibited little ring rust and he was glad with his performance.

"I'm so happy for him," said White. "He's such a good person, athlete, [and] fighter. I'm such a huge believer in ring rust and you saw he was tired, but he didn't have any ring rust as far as his hands and everything else. The way he knocked him out was beautiful. It was a great fight and DaMarques fought a great fight."
