Dana White Has Some Real Talk for Floyd Mayweather, Manny Pacquiao

The fact that boxing seemingly can't or won't put together Floyd Mayweather vs. Manny Pacquiao -- the most highly anticipated boxing match in years -- speaks to the faltering state of the Sweet Science.

Mayweather and Pacquiao are widely regarded as the two best pound-for-pound fighters currently competing in boxing and they fight close enough in weight that a bout between them isn't just feasible, it's necessary. However, for various reasons (few worthwhile), a bout between the two men continues to elude fight fans.

In a recent conversation with FightHubTV, UFC president Dana White, a longtime boxing fan, gave voice to the frustration many pugilistic observers are feeling at the inability of the boxing world to organize Pacquiao-Mayweather.

"(Pacquiao) and Floyd Mayweather need to cut the bulls*** and do the fight that everybody wants to see," said White. "If there was ever a fight in history that should be fifty-fifty split, it's this fight. Split the money, it's a-f***in'-hundred million dollars or two hundred million -- who knows what it's gonna be? I think it's gonna be the biggest pay-per-view ever, probably 2.6 million buys. Shut the f*** up and fight. Split the money. Just f***ing do it. People are tired of it."

After another failed round of negotiations between the two fighters' camps, Pacquiao has been matched up against Timothy Bradley and Mayweather has a date with Miguel Cotto. Mayweather will serve ninety days in jail starting in June for his guilty plea in a domestic violence case.
