Dana White: Anderson Silva is the Best Fighter in the World

UFC president Dana White kind of finds himself at a loss for words when trying to explain just how good UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva is. The numbers that "The Spider" has weaved since entering the Octagon speak for themselves, as many consider him the best in the world, including White.

"Anderson Silva is so far the best fighter in the world, (expletive) pound-for-pound - they ought to make a whole other list for him," White said (thanks to MMAWeekly.com for the quotes). "I don't know what you call it, but he should be on that list. That's how good this guy is."

Silva's exceptional skills could be hindering a potential super-fight the UFC is looking to put together between the Brazilian and Georges St-Pierre. Silva last fought in October, stepping up on short notice and defeating Stephen Bonnar at light heavyweight.

"I feel like the media and the fans don't grasp it, don't get it as much as I do," said White, on the greatness of Silva. "The day that guy comes around and says I'd like to retire, it's gonna bum me the (expletive) out."
