Dan Hardy Earns Impressive Win in Front of Hometown Crowd
Dan Hardy has now strung together consecutive victories, using several powerful takedowns and effective striking to defeat Amir Sadollah. The bout was the co-main event of UFC on Fuel TV: Struve vs. Miocic, which took place in Hardy's hometown of Nottingham, England Saturday.
"I've always dreamed of fighting here for the UFC," Hardy said. "I feel so blessed and so happy."
Hardy, who worked his way to a UFC welterweight title shot, found himself in a four-fight losing skid recently. However, he defeated Duane Ludwig and earned himself a fight in front of an arena fully supporting "The Outlaw."
"I have a tendency to go out and trade punches, but I had to be smart, pick my shots," Hardy said. "I had a good time. It was a good fight."
