Dallas Cowboys Need Win; Luckily St. Louis Rams in Town

It's been an interesting season thus far for the Dallas Cowboys; they could easily be 5-0, losing their three games by a total of 11 points. Of course they could just as easily be 0-5 -- their two wins coming by three and two points. So a nice easy win is in order. Good thing the pitiful St. Louis Rams are coming to town.

The Rams are in actuality 0-5, and the Cowboys want to make sure to extend their winless season. On the surface it should not be a problem. However linebacker DeMarcus Ware warned that it may not be so easy.

“Those teams are probably the most hungriest teams that you play,” Ware said according to ESPNDallas.com. “They feel like they don’t have anything to lose but have everything to prove to themselves and their organization.”

Nervous Cowboys fans may feel desperate for a win, but Ware does not share their sentiment.

“Desperate for what?” Ware asked. “You’re motivated to get some wins. You can’t be desperate with a 16-game season. We lost these three games within (11) points. What is it to be desperate about when you have a great team and you have everything in place? But you’re just not closing and you just have to figure out how to close it to get that bad taste out of your mouth.”

Ware, by the way, was back at practice on Thursday after sitting out Wednesday because of a sore back. He is set to play on Sunday.

But starting running back Felix Jones may not play. He is suffering from an ankle injury that has kept him from practicing all week. Rookie DeMarco Murray said he's prepared if he gets the call to replace Jones or to share duties with Tashard Choice.

“I’m ready,” Murray said. “I’ve been working hard since I got here. I know the playbook and I’m mentally and physically ready.”
