College Football Recruiting: J.P. Vonashek Headed to South Carolina

South Carolina added some more talent to the offensive line when J.P. Vonashek committed to the Gamecocks on Saturday afternoon.

Vonashek is a 6'7", 275-pound offensive lineman from Brunswick, Georgia. He's a three-star recruit on most services including and The impressive thing about Vonashek is his offer list right now. Schools like Ohio State, Georgia, Florida State, Auburn and Tennessee were just some of the schools that were in the running before he committed to the Gamecocks.

Vonashek was a relative unknown recruit at Glynn Academy before transferring to Camden County.

Vonashek should be a great pickup for the Gamecocks. He's got a big frame that should grow into the prototypical offensive tackle at the college level. He should be able to use a redshirt season to grow into a player that could be a future starter in the coming years.

This is the 16th commitment for the Gamecocks in the 2013 recruiting class.
