Chris Bosh’s Five-Team Wish Lost

Here at OTR, we are huge fans of Chris Bosh.  During the past seven seasons, Bosh has played for the Toronto Raptors, a team that’s kind of linked to the NBA, but not taking too seriously.  Despite playing in the land of free health care, Bosh has been a member of the USA National team since 2006 and was part of the 2008 Olympic Gold-winning team in Beijing.

The 26-year old power forward has the option to opt out of his contract and swim in the free agency pool this offseason, joining the likes of Lebron James, Amare Stoudemire, Dwyane Wade, and Luke Ridnour.  And it’s quite possible that Bosh could land on the same team with one of the aforementioned (one of the four mentioned?).

ESPN’s Chad Ford somehow got a hold of Bosh’s list of preferred teams, which there are five of…Toronto (yeah right, that’s just being politically correct), Chicago Bulls, Los Angeles Lakers (wow, if that could happen?), Miami Heat, and the New York Knicks.

One source told Chad Ford that Bosh’s decision will have a direct effect on where Lebron James lands.

“If LeBron decides to go to either New York or Chicago, I think that’s where you’ll see Chris land,” the source told Ford. “If LeBron stays in Cleveland, I think the process is more wide open.”

OTR on the other hand has said all along that Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh will land on the same team.  Bosh has played with both Bron and Wade.  He knows that during the 2008 Olympics, Wade was the best player on the court every single game.  You pair up any superstar with Dwyane Wade and you have yourself a championship.  It’s that simple, and Bosh knows this.

Bosh-Wade, 2010!!!
