Add Adrienne Williams, Chris Bosh’s new fiancée, to the list of people who have gotten rings before LeBron James. (That list also includes Adam Morisson.)
The New York Post is reporting that the Miami Heat forward proposed to his girlfriend Friday night. Bosh’s public relations rep, Tammy Brook, confirmed the engagement via statement but declined to give any more details. Bosh and his much shorter better half had reportedly been dating for a year prior to the engagement, going back to when he was playing for the Toronto Raptors.
The happy couple celebrated the announcement at the Fontainebleau, dining at Hakkasan and then partying at LIV with will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas.
The announcement caps off a very busy summer for Bosh, who also recently guest starred on the hit HBO show “Entourage.” He also made headlines earlier in the summer when he was invited to the ring the bell at the New York Stock Exchange.
Considering Bosh is one of the two mega-star free agents brought in by the Heat this summer in hopes of chasing a title, it’s interesting to see how many headlines he’s getting for the off-the-court events. Keep in mind, Bosh has always been one to chase the cameras.
He was a regular on “YouTube” during his Toronto days, and during his free agency period he was on record as saying that he wanted to do a reality show about the entire process. Unfortunately for him, he couldn’t get the mainstream media excited about his adventures. Now that he has joined Dwyane Wade and James in Miami, however, expect to see Bosh in the news far more often.
