The Miami Heat circus rolls into town Thursday to face the Cavaliers at Quicken Loans Arena. Just a regular season December game between two average-at-best NBA teams, right?
Well, it's that. But more. Thursday marks the first time LeBron James faces his former team since telling the world he was taking his talents to South Beach -- and stabbing his hometown in the back.
The move was seen by most Cavaliers fans and Cleveland residents as a not-so-subtle kick in the you-know-what to a town that had embraced James from the second he put on their team’s jersey.
Considering Cavs’ loyal followers have already burned his jerseys in the streets and removed signs with his likeness, security will be at an all-time high when the “King” returns to his original kingdom.
