UFC president Dana White has confirmed that the next time Carlos Condit steps inside the Octagon, it will be to unify the UFC welterweight championship with Georges St-Pierre. Condit claimed the interim title with a victory over Nick Diaz, while GSP continues to rehab from knee surgery.
"We don't know when Georges is coming back yet," said White, in an interview with MMAjunkie.com. "But Carlos isn't going to fight another fight."
White also noted that Condit had accepted the rematch with Diaz due to the nature of the fight, as many felt it was a decision that could have gone either way. Diaz, however, tested positive for marijuana and is likely facing a one-year ban. He also announced his retirement from MMA following the fight.
St-Pierre's has said he hopes to be back this summer, but most reports have him returning to action during the fall of this year.
