Cain Velasquez vs. Junior dos Santos III is Already Being Talked About

Even though Junior dos Santos (15-2) just lost his heavyweight championship to Cain Velasquez (11-1), UFC president Dana White is open to a third encounter between the two.

"I think trilogies are always awesome, especially when both these fights went the way that they did," said White to USA TODAY. "I mean, I want to see the third fight. It will be interesting."

Velasquez recaptured his championship from Santos, who defeated him for the title at the first UFC on FOX show in late 2011. In their first fight, Santos ended it just over a minute into the first round. The rematch at UFC 155 went rather different. Velasquez controlled that fight and won via unanimous decision.

"But this isn't like losing a regular fight," said White. "[Santos] got beat up pretty bad. It usually takes a little longer to recover from what he went through."

Both fighters were handed no contact orders until January 29 and are suspended until February 13. There has been no mention on when either fighter will step back inside the Octagon.

Alistair Overeem (36-11-1 NC) and Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva (17-4) will meet at UFC 156 with the winner possibly getting the next shot. Overeem and Silva meet February 2 out of Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, NV.
