Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade’s lawyer has recommended the NBA guard be awarded custody of his two young sons.
The move comes after Wade and ex-wife, Siohvaughn Wade, returned to a Chicago court on Wednesday to determine who will win their ugly custody war. Lester Barclay, a representative of the children, filed a pretrial memo detailing recommendations he planned to make during trial. Among those recommendations was that Siohvaughn Wade should undergo “extensive therapy.”
"At trial it is my intention, based on the best interests of my clients, the minor children ... to be with Dwyane Wade," Barclay wrote.
While the recommendations aren't mandatory orders the court must follow, it is common for those findings to be taken into account in cases like this. Amongst his other recommendations, Barclay insisted residential custody should remain primarily with Dwyane Wade.
