Bellator 70 Recap: Rick Hawk Wins Lightweight Tournament Title


Rick Hawn claimed the season six lightweight tournament title by earning a decision victory over Brent Weedman in the finals Friday night at Bellator 70. The card took place from the New Orleans Convention Center and was broadcast live on MTV2.

In the co-main event, Cole Konrad defended his Bellator heavyweight title for the first time, defeating Eric Prindle via submission in just a minute of action. Konrad locked in a kimura for the win.

It was also announced during the card that Patricio "Pitbull" Freire will face Pat Curran for the Bellator featherweight title at Bellator 73.
