Bellator Fighting Championship makes its second trip of season four to the west coast for Saturdays Bellator 41 from the Cocopah Resort and Casino in Yuma, Arizona. The last time they came this far west was for the season first event, Bellator 35 back on March 5th.
The main card of Bellator 41 features four bouts showcasing the little guys in the featherweight and bantamweight divisions. The featherweight tournament will continue with the two semifinal bouts taking place with a spot in the final on the line. The winner of the season four tournament will earn a shot at the Bellator featherweight champion, Joe Warren.
Warren is also on the Bellator 41 fight card facing Marcos Galvao in a non-title bout at a catchweight of 137 lbs. Warren has been a very busy man since winning the featherweight title as he has been training for a possible shot at the 2012 Olympics in wrestling, while also continuing his mixed martial arts training.
Along with Warren the main card of Bellator 41 will feature another champion in Zach Makovsky, the Bellator bantamweight champ fighting Chad Robichaux. The fight will be a non-title bout but for fans that have not seen Makovsky before, this is a great opportunity to see an up and coming fighter riding a six fight win streak.
The undercard for Bellator 41 features four fights stacked with local fighters that should have the crowd on hand going crazy. They might not be household names to most of the world if you’re from Arizona and follow MMA you’ll most likely know this fighters.
