Former European champion Audley Harrison will again attempt to conquer the road to heavyweight superstardom after he announced his latest ring return.
Harrison meets Iraqi-born heavyweight Ali Adams at the Brentwood Centre on April 14, some 18 months on from his acrimonious knockout defeat to David Haye.
Having turned 40 in November, the former Olympic champion acknowledges that this will surely be a last shot at redemption. However, as demonstrated during a Twitter exchange with his opponent to be, ’A-Force’ does not expect his latest enterprise to end at the hands of Adams; “We shall see, I like the big talk, I’ve been there myself. I’ll let you have your 15 mins of fame, but when we meet…oh boy!!”
Adams, whose last appearance in the British boxing spotlight came a 2010 edition of Sky’s Prizefighter, has compiled 13 victories during a four year career, losing on three occasions and drawing once.
