Arnold Palmer has a date with Kate Upton, and he didn’t need a snazzy Youtube video to get it.
Upton, a Sports Illustrated cover girl, is scheduled to attend the first round of the Arnold Palmer Invitational on Thursday, all the while proving once again that the tournament's 83-year-old host is still the coolest character in the sport.
According to Fox Sports, Upton and Palmer will dine together during her visit, and then she will take a trip to the Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies. The pair is also reportedly planning to do a commercial together for Arnold Palmer “Tee,” Palmer’s beverage line.
How does one (even if he is a golfing God) get such access to one of the hottest super models on the planet? Per Fox Sports:
It turns out Upton’s parents were long ago enlisted in Arnie’s Army, and the 20-year-old beauty grew up a fan. Palmer sat back in his chair and told how he once helped Upton’s agent, Lisa Benson, whose father was a regular golf buddy of Palmer’s, land a job with the firm IMG.
Nicknamed The King, Palmer won the PGA Tour Lifetime Achievement Award in 1998 and was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 1974.
