Anderson Silva's Nephew Guilherme Bertholdo Takes on Chris Lazaro at Lion Fight Muay Thai VI
Guilherme Bertholdo will put his undefeated Muay Thai record of 6-0 on the line this weekend when he takes on Chris Lazaro in one of the bouts for Lion Fight Muay Thai VI: Schilling vs. Marcus II. Bertholdo's name may not ring a bell, but his family ties will, as the 19-year-old is the nephew of UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva.
"I am excited to finally test my skills against top-level amateur opponents," said Bertholdo, who trains out of the Black House Team Nogueira gym. "Striking is my passion. I've learned to appreciate the beauty of Muay Thai. MMA is a sport that I eventually will focus on in the future, but, for now, I want to sharpen my striking and compete in an all-striking sport."
The main event will feature Joe Schilling against Simon Marcus for Schilling's WBC light heavyweight title. Schilling is 12-2, while Marcus sports a 23-0 record. The entire card will stream live at LionFightPromotions.com for $14.99.
