Anderson Silva vs. Georges St-Pierre: "We are Very Open to the Idea"

UFC CEO Lorenzo Fertitta has discussed pairing UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva with UFC welterweight champ Georges St-Pierre. Now, as talk about a possible super-fight continues to grow, Fertitta informed the Los Angeles Times that it is still something he wants to see.

"We are very open to the idea of Anderson/GSP," Fertitta said. "If GSP beats (Carlos) Condit, it's a fight we would like to make."

St-Pierre is rehabbing from a torn ACL, and is expected to face Condit in November to unify the UFC welterweight titles. He has been out of action since early in 2011.

Silva, meanwhile, has reportedly turned down a possible bout with Chris Weidman. It appears that "The Spider" is hoping for another marquee match after defeating Chael Sonnen last month.
