Anderson Silva vs. Georges St-Pierre: It's the Fight Fans Want

UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva did everything but compete Saturday night at UFC 154: St-Pierre vs. Condit. Silva held a pre-event press conference, cornered a fighter, and conducted a post-fight press conference

However, Silva did not receive a future super-fight, as UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre did not call him out following his win over Carlos Condit. Nevertheless, "The Spider" remained hopeful the fight would come together, as he told the post-fight show on Fuel TV.

"Yeah, but this is not my decision or Georges St-Pierre's (decision)," Silva said. "It's (UFC president) Dana (White's) decision to talk to George, talk to me; it's a big fight. The fans want to see it, so maybe this fight is the best fight. This is my plan, but not my decision."

Silva said he was impressed with St-Pierre's performance over Condit, as GSP was returning for the first time in almost two years to the Octagon. GSP said after the bout he would like to take a vacation and would talk with his team before making any future fight decisions.

As for a potential site for Silva-GSP, the Brazilian pointed to Dallas Stadium in Texas, adding, "(that) is the big show, big for me, big for Georges. (It would be) 50-50," in terms of Silva wanting it to be in Brazil and St-Pierre in Canada.
