Alan Belcher's Next Fight Will be the "Biggest" of His Career?
Alan Belcher believes he is ready for a shot at UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva. "The Talent" is riding a four-fight win streak, all of which have come via stoppage.
On his Twitter account Monday, Belcher updated us on when we might be able to see him compete again inside the Octagon. He didn't offer an exact date or opponent, but all signs point to UFC 153 this October.
"My next fight will be the biggest of my career!" Belcher wrote. "I may be taking a trip down south, very south."
That would make it seem as if Belcher will be placed on the UFC card from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It's possible that a meeting with someone like Chris Weidman or Tim Boetsch could be in store, though Vitor Belfort would make more sense due to his huge following in his native country.
