A-Rod Meets With MLB Officials Regarding Steroid Use

Accompanied by his lawyers, Alex Rodriguez met with MLB officials Thursday to tell them he did not purchase performance-enhancing drugs from Canadian doctor, Anthony Galea. Last month Galea told the Associated Press that he merely prescribed anti-inflammatory drugs to Rodriguez, not any banned substances.

Today at the Yankees spring training facilities the third baseman discussed the meeting with reporters: “It went well. I cooperated.”

Rodriguez was not the only MLB star linked to the doctor. Jose Reyes and Carlos Beltran of the Mets, and Colorado’s Huston Street have also been contacted. Reyes and Beltran have come out and publicly stated that they did not receive any performance-enhancing drugs from Galea.

Galea remains under the investigation of federal and Canadian authorities.
